A mysterious new Kanye West documentary titled In Whose Name? has surfaced, and we finally have the first details, thanks to Variety.

The project has been in the works for six years, capturing Ye's journey with never-before-seen footage. It promises a unique and cinematic perspective on his public transformation. The title hints at some deep storytelling, reflecting Kanye's (now officially known as Ye) evolving identity.

Goodfellas and Utopia are joining forces to launch international sales of In Whose Name? at the American Film Market. An exclusive promo reel will be screened on November 7.

Currently in post-production, the documentary was produced by Nico Ballesteros, with co-producers Jack M. Russel and Shy Ranje. Justin Staple is the co-executive producer, while David Bullock is an associate producer.

"We’re thrilled to present In Whose Name? at AFM," said Marie Zeniter from Utopia and Eva Diederix from Goodfellas. "This documentary offers an unfiltered view, no narration—just the raw footage. It’s an invitation for audiences to make up their own minds about themes of fame, religion, and power. Globally, people deserve to see how one of the most influential figures of our time navigates the contradictions of celebrity."

In recent years, Ye has been known more for controversies than music—his marriage to Kim Kardashian and their divorce, a failed 2020 presidential run, and controversial statements that cost him sponsorships and contracts. Though these moments aren’t directly mentioned in the official description, the timeframe of the documentary suggests that these events are likely to be covered.

More info about the film and its 2025 worldwide release is expected soon. Keep it locked to Yeezy Mafia for the latest updates on In Whose Name? and everything Ye.
