The YEEZY brand has not shied away from the basketball silhouette dating way back to the Swoosh years. Throughout Kanye West's career we have seen his interest in basketball through both the sport and player friendships. The premier of this basketball performance sneaker gives a nod to Ye's friend, the late great Kobe Bryant in the design of the YZY BSKTBL KNIT. YM has the first look at the newest iteration of YEEZY's basketball venture.
The YZY BSKTBL KNIT "3D SLATE BLUE" features an all over, multi-patterned knit upper mixed in a slate blue and black color resting atop a familiar BOOST midsole that is also featured on the YZY BSKTBL QNTM model. Also akin to the QNTM is the grey heel construction for the performance based YZY BSKTBL KNIT. A black, high top sock-like upper housing the lacing system wraps up the sneaker. The knitted silhouette compares visually to the Kobe 9 High and Kobe 10 Elite High which were recognized for their ankle support.
In time for the season, look for the YZY BSKTBL KNIT "3D SLATE BLUE" to drop this December retailing at $260. The whole family can get laced in these as sizes will range from US 4-US 20.
What do you think of the new YZY BSKTBL "3D SLATE BLUE" model? Will you cop them for hooping? Would you like to see more performance based YEEZY models? Let us know via our social media channels and keep it locked to YM to stay updated on all things YEEZY.
