Don Toliver and Ye Star in Surreal Surgical "OK" Music Video

Don Toliver and Ye take a surreal trip to the operating room in the new “OK” music video, directed by Bianca Censori.

The cinematic clip opens with Ye in a slate-blue suit, lying on an operating table with his head separated from his body. As doctors begin their bizarre procedure, they remove a strange collection of objects from his torso — including doves, apples, a rose engulfed in flames, a white balloon and what appear to be his organs.

Don Toliver soon appears with an unsettling, almost demonic expression. After completing the operation, he reconnects Ye’s head and brings him back to life. Ye then rises from the table carrying a pair of swords, transforming the video into a dark and surreal horror sequence.

The imagery hints at themes of cloning, possession and rebirth, with the two artists presented as figures being reconstructed or revived. The doctors are later killed off-screen, leaving only their shadows to suggest the violence taking place.

The video closes with Ye and Toliver staring directly into a surveillance camera as a baby sheep casually enters the room, adding one final dose of strange humor to the unsettling visual.

“OK” appears on the deluxe edition of Ye’s Bully, which arrived in June. The project originally debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, earning 152,000 album-equivalent units.

The collaboration continues a creative partnership that has also produced tracks including “Moon”, “Broken Road” and “Field Trip” from Vultures 2.

Don Toliver released his OCTANE album in January, earning his first No. 1 on the Billboard 200. He has also continued teasing NITROUS, a companion project that has yet to receive an official release date.
